Is Split free to use?
Yes. Splitting a bill with Split is completely free — no payment, no subscription and no limit on bills or participants.
Does everyone need to install the app?
No. Only the person who starts the bill uses Split. Everyone else gets a WhatsApp link and picks their dishes right in the browser, with no install and no sign-up.
How is the tip calculated?
Pick a preset tip (10%, 12%, 15% or 20%) or enter a custom amount. The tip is split between participants in proportion to what each of them ordered.
What happens with shared dishes?
A dish marked by several people is divided equally between them, so a shared salad or bottle of wine never lands on one person.
